01 · THE ROAD HERE
Map and compass, since college
I began off-roading at 16, and grew up with parents who love cars. I started navigating when I was an outings guide in college — taking people backpacking for extended periods of time, on snow, using map and compass. That history as a guide really helped me settle into the navigator role as a Rebelle.
My sisters and I started on the Rubicon in our teens — we lived close to the trailhead. Many laughable and scary moments come to mind. In 2006 I had the great fortune to drive the featured car in the California Mille. And as of recent I am a seven-year Rebelle — that is a HUGE highlight to me!

Any opportunity I have, I will
The Rebelle challenges us in ways one cannot describe, brings back to life parts of us that may have been hibernating, and expands us in ways we may never have expected. It — if you allow it — brings you into one of the greatest communities I have had the good fortune to know. All that while simultaneously removing us from the life chaoses we all feel far too dependent on.
The first year I competed I was in a very low place — I signed up, I believe, 14 days prior to start. The Rally has taught me that I can get through it. Whatever it is. If I want to. The accomplishment when you cross that finish line is a reward unlike nothing else.

03 · OFF THE CLOCK
Being outside is my jam
I love to play! I am an avid skier, surfer and mountain biker. I am also a competitive equestrian and ride dirt bikes. In my previous career I traveled the world photographing the most impressive reefs and turquoise waves. I have built homes, and eaten bugs, slept on mountaintops and remote, desolate beaches.

My teammate Lyn and I are striving to finish this rally with our heads held high, knowing wholeheartedly that we gave the rally and our sponsors every single available ounce of ourselves — and then some. Ideally on the podium.
